Call (610) 702-8235
This is the only way to reach us, and it is deliberate. A form gets you a callback in an unknown number of hours from someone reading your three sentences. A phone call gets you a conversation with someone who can ask the questions that actually narrow the problem — when did it start, does it correlate with rain or with the season, how old is the house, where exactly are you seeing it.
The line is answered 24 hours a day, every day. For active water intrusion, call immediately; response time genuinely matters and the first two hours affect the eventual cost more than anything else you will do.
Call (610) 702-8235. Before you call, if it is safe: shut off the water at the fixture or the main, and cut electricity to the affected area at the breaker if water is anywhere near outlets or appliances. Do not stand in water to reach a breaker.
If there is sewage involved, if water is near the electrical panel, or if you smell gas — leave the building and call the utility or 911 first.
What to Have Ready
None of this is required, but it makes the call considerably more useful:
- Where you see or smell it — which room, which wall, how high up, how large an area
- When you first noticed it — and whether it has changed since
- The seasonal pattern — is it worse in summer or winter, after rain, or constant? This single answer narrows the cause more than anything else
- Any water event and its date — a burst pipe, a sump failure, a roof leak, flooding in September 2021
- The age of the house, roughly, and whether the basement is finished
- Whether anyone in the household has symptoms, and whether anyone is asthmatic, immunocompromised, pregnant or an infant
- Any quote you have already been given — read it out and a specialist will tell you whether the scope makes sense
What Happens on the Call
- You describe the situationIn your own words. There is no script and no qualifying questionnaire.
- A specialist works through what it is likely to beThe pattern, the location and the building era narrow it enormously before anyone visits.
- You get a straight answer on urgencyIncluding “this can wait” and “you probably do not need to hire anyone”, both of which are said regularly.
- If work is warranted, you hear what a proper scope containsAnd what it should cost in this market, so you can judge any quote you receive.
- If you want someone to come out, that is arranged on the callWith a contractor working in your area. You deal with them directly from that point — and ask them for the seven documents listed on our About page before you sign anything.
- If you do not, that is the end of itNothing on this site collects your details — there is no form and no email capture.
Hours
| Line | Availability |
|---|---|
| Emergency — active water intrusion | 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year |
| General consultation | 24 hours a day — the same number |
| Contractor scheduling, non-urgent | Typically within a few business days |
| Contractor scheduling, emergency | Same day, including nights and weekends |
Late summer and the weeks following any significant regional storm are the busiest periods for contractors in this area. Non-urgent inspections are easier to schedule outside those windows.
If You Already Have a Quote
A common reason people call, and a useful one. Read it out and a specialist will tell you whether the scope makes sense for what you are describing. Specifically, whether the seven things a legitimate written scope should contain are actually in it:
- A named moisture sourceNot “humidity” and not “old houses are damp” — a specific mechanism, and how they established it.
- Extent defined by measurementCut lines set by moisture mapping, with a stated margin beyond the last elevated reading rather than an arbitrary two feet.
- A containment methodBarriers, sealed HVAC registers, and HEPA-filtered negative air exhausting outdoors.
- An itemised removal listWhat comes out and what is cleaned, rather than “as required”.
- Numeric drying targetsMoisture content goals with daily logging, not “until dry”.
- An independent clearance providerNamed, with the pass criteria agreed in advance and retest liability stated.
- Reconstruction priced separatelySo you can compare bids honestly, or decline that part.
If several of those are missing, that is worth knowing before you sign rather than afterwards. The full version of this, including the quote language that should end a conversation, is here.
Service Area
King of Prussia and Upper Merion Township, the Main Line communities of Tredyffrin and Radnor, the Schuylkill boroughs, and greater Montgomery and Chester County. Nineteen communities have detailed pages; we cover considerably more. See areas we serve, or simply call and ask.
What the Call Costs You
Nothing. There is no charge to use this site and no charge for the call, and nothing you are quoted afterwards is inflated because you arrived through here — you are quoted by the contractor directly and you contract with them directly.
One thing worth knowing before you hire anyone, here or elsewhere: Pennsylvania licenses no mold inspectors or remediation contractors at all. Verification is yours to do, and the seven documents to ask for, and where to check them free, are set out on our About page.
